Whitefield Forest Touring Park is very proud to be the Overall winner in Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome magazines Top 100 Sites Guide 2014. This family caravan site on the Isle of Wight has deservedly won plenty of awards. As such, Whitefield Forest Touring Park has a lot to offer its guests.

This campsite is perfect if you really want to get away from it all and get back to nature The site is set in peaceful woodland, the tranquil environment is a great way to enjoy your caravan holiday, or time away in your tent or motorhome. Working with the Forestry Commission and the Isle of Wight Conservation Partnership, the owners have sensitively combined the site with its surroundings giving guests great access to the natural beauty of the area.

The site is also near to the splendid coastal areas of Sandown and Ryde – you can get to both without even moving your vehicle. Bus stops outside the campsite and the beaches will enable you to easily make the return trip. The ferry crossing to and from the island goes via the campsite, making planning your tour easier.

A warm welcome, great location bring guests back year after year. Whitefield Forest has pitches for caravans, tents and motorhomes. There are extensive facilities throughout the park and the pitches are all well drained and level. You will not regret staying at Whitefield Forest if you are looking to take your camping holiday on the Isle of Wight.

We are well placed for visitors wishing to explore the Island either by car or by bus (there is a bus stop on the main road outside of our site).

We stayed for two weeks as a family of four. (Two teenagers in tow).

Booking, arrangements and pitching were all assisted by Pat and her family who are extremely helpful. The site is within the forest and the amenity block is new and immaculate. The access is very good and the pitches are level. We usually prefer cc sites for guaranteed quality and went to look at the cc southland site which is a dull, regimented carpark compared to this beautiful site. The pitches are nicely spaced and the site is only a mile or so from Tesco at Ryde. There is a fab play area in rustic, outward bound style which is large and for all ages. (Not just tots). We are regular explorers of the uk and this site is easily the best so far. Alison Key.

This is an excellent site, suitable for all ages. It is quiet, in the middle of forest (as the name suggests!) but with all the amenities you will want, including very clean and modern washing up, laundry and toilet facilities. There is a childrens play area and a fab walking trail for anyone, but especially those with dogs. The pitch sizes are great and the staff very friendly. Excellent value for money! Shame it's on the Island!!
