You'll want to visit Padstow when you stay here at Old Macdonalds Farm, partly because it is only about a 20-minute drive away but also because it's a pretty harbour town. Splash out and dine at one of Rick Stein's eateries – especially good if you are a fan of seafood. You could also go to Prideaux Place on the outskirts of the town. And if you fancy a bike ride but you've left your bicycle at home, there's a cycle hire shop in town.
Another of this area's primary attractions is quite simply the region's stunning natural beauty. Explore the Trevose Head Heritage Coast a short way north of this campsite, or go further afield to the Pentire Point-Widemouth Heritage Coast or the Godrevy-Portreath Heritage Coast.
If you fancy going surfing, visit Newquay and take on the famous waves of Fistral Beach.
The town is about a 20-minute drive from Old Macdonalds Farm and is one of the region's most well known towns. If you don't fancy surfing, it's just a nice place to drink in the atmosphere, plus there is a golf club and a zoo here.
Another of the top tourist attractions in Cornwall is the Eden Project which is a 40- or 45-minute drive from this campsite.
