We love Applewood Campsite. We visit atleast twice a year. It is excellent for the children, wide open space, a pub, takeaway and a shop within 5mins walking and of course Banham Zoo its the only time we truely relax can't wait for our next visit, thank you Applewood.

A truly fab site, really relaxed, the kids can safely ride their bikes, playing in the park etc. while the parents relax. Always very clean with helpful friendly staff. We went last year that the kids want to go this year and have booked again and dont know why anyone would want to go anywhere else. The best part was paying a extra £2 on top of the entry price for the zoo and could go in everyday anytime for the whole stay of our holiday, which the kids loved as they could collect the different medals to show their friends. Has a shop at the enterance that has all the essentials for everyday, and a fanastic fish and chip shop too

Went here as part of a Caravan Club Rally.

Excellent well maintained site with plenty of room around all pitches.

Two shower blocks one a bit dated but ok, the newer one had no seats to use after showering.

Banham Zoo next door with special rates for user of the site.

Lovely site

Guestbook reviews

We had the greatest stay at the park. Amazing staff, exceptionally helpful, nothing too much trouble, lots of advice on places to visit. Our Shepherd's Cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. A fab kingside bed, lovely duvet and great pillows. During our 2 week stay the linen was regularly changed, clean towels and tea towels what more could you ask for? Oh and the zoo is just next door!! Really fabulous time. We’re booking for next spring.

Banham Zoo – Applewood Countryside Park

A very nice site, laid out very well with good amenities. A mix of grass and hard standing pitches with plenty of room. The grounds are kept to a good order.
The toilets and showers were always very clean with ample hot water.
Cafe, shop and pub all within short walks.

Reception staff were warm and friendly, as well as being very helpful.

Nicely placed to visit Norwich and the coast, Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft being about an hour away.

Well worth another visit to this campsite.

Banham Zoo – Applewood Countryside Park

We had a lovely girls trip at applewood holidays. We stayed in one of the ‘posh glamping pods’ which was super cute & the beds were so comfy. It was so lovely how you could hear the animals from the zoo. We did have a visit to the zoo as well, definitely a bonus being so close. We went for a lovely walk around the meadow. The showers are lovely, really nice that they have private shower rooms! :)

Banham Zoo – Applewood Countryside Park

Arrived on Friday 27th December for 3 nights with our touring caravan and hitched up to an xl hard standing pitch. Easy access, amenities all clean and ideal location for visiting Thetford forest and town. Our friends stayed in a shepherd’s cabin and that was adequate for the stay, very clean and well equipped. The best part about this place is the closeness to the Banham Barrel bar and the Trawlers Catch takeaway next door. You can order your dinner and take it into the bar then order your drinks. Dog and people friendly and great taste in music. A must visit
