Been here many times. Very disappointed this time. The grass hasn't been cut, the toilets and basins had not been cleaned during our 4 night stay. The showers are in need of updating they are very basic with just a hook on the back of the door to put all your items which end up getting soaked. The owners are very rude to visitors and staff alike. Its a shame its the only one in the area.

Nice little site in Gosport. Big on site bar/restaurant but also some nice pubs around surrounding area. Only 5 minute drive to Gosport centre and a further 5 minute ferry crossing to Portsmouth Harbour with a great range of shops and bars/restaurants.
The site has ok shower facilities with no hair dryers or plugs. Camping is next to a fairly busy road but if you are a sound sleeper it wont be enough to keep you up.
Shop on site is good and staff were very friendly.
A nice site for a one off but would not go back to the same place.

The entrance and reception are much better the camping area pitches are very close together and a poor condition some border the road outside which is very busy at all time, parts of the site looked like a tip
and the toilets and showers were of poor quality and dirty. to top it of there was a lot of noise from the bar area till late.
We arrived on Friday night paid for the weekend but packed up and left by 8am Saturday morning. This site does not deserve a 3 star rating.

THIS SITE BOASTS HARD STANDINGS FOR TOURING CARAVANS BUT THEY ARE JUST CLINKER OR LOOSE TARMAC ABOUT THE WIDTH OF A CARAVAN AND NOT LEVEL, THEY ALSO EASILY BREAK UP WHEN TURNING ON TO THEM. THE AREA AROUND THE VAN IS JUST GRASS AND DOES NOT DRAIN TOO WELL BECOMES VERY MUDDY. ALL THE APPROACH ROADS TO PITCHES ARE ALSO POOR SURFACES AND DIFFICULT TO SITE VAN DUE TO EHU BOLLARDS ARE AT THE FRONT OF SOME PITCHES, A BIT DANGEROUS. TOILETS ARE POOR AND SHOWERS AND WASH BASINS ARE SO CLOSE TO EACH OTHER YOU ELBOW THE GUY NEXT TO YOU.SHOWER CUBICLES ARE VERY BASIC, ONE HOOK ON BACK OF DOOR, NO SEAT,NO SOAP HOLDERS REALLY QUITE SHABBY. THE CHEMICAL TOILET DISPOSING AREA IS VERY CLOSE TO THE WASHING UP/VEG PREPARATION SINKS, NOT NICE ATALL, THESE AREAS ARE OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS ALTHOUGH THIS IS A ALL YEAR SITE. FOR THE NUMBERS THAT MAY USE THIS SITE AT PEAK TIMES THE SERVICES MUST BE STRETCHED. NOT A NICE PLACE TO SPEND ANY TIME ON TIRED LOOKING AND IN NEED OF A LOT OF TIDYING UP AND CLEANING. NEW CHARGES FOR LARGER FAMILY VANS BEING MADE OVER 20FT EXTRA £3 A NIGHT. THIS AREA SOME YEARS AGO WAS THE LOCAL COUNCILS RUBBISH TIP, IT SEEMS TO BE GOING BACK TO THOSE DAYS. IT DOES NOT DESERVE 3STAR RATING, SEEMS TO BE USED A LOT BY CONTRACTORS WORKING AWAY FROM HOME AS WELL SO EXPECT DIRTY BOOTS AND OVERALLS IN THE WASH ROOM ITS A BIT BUSY AFTER 5PM. THE BEST THING ON THE SITE, THE ROAD THAT TAKES YOU OUT OF IT!!!!
