Warning
If you are going to this caravan site make sure you have your camera to record any problems and conversations you may have with staff, as in our case they accused us of lying after confirming our complaint.

New beach holiday park have showers that have safety features that can be overridden by children causing burns!

Six members of my family and I booked in for the Easter weekend. During our stay one of the children revived burns while in the shower. The temperature shot up suddenly and reached scalding temperature almost instantly. After reporting the incident to their staff and having them confirm that the shower was faulty, We were surprised that a adult member of the family was also burnt the next day.

After we returned home the staff denied knowing about the fault and have now blamed us for the accident.

As stated by their management :
“ On the shower tap itself there is a red button which is in standard on most UK shower fittings; this is provided as a safety mechanism to prevent all users, and in particular children, from turning the controls to a higher temperature without considering the potential heat level when by-passing this safety feature. There is also a warning sticker in the bathroom showing that the water coming from any of the taps and shower can be hot. As we have now had the shower thermostat fully checked and confirmed as functioning correctly, we can only presume that the child in your party by-passed the shower unit’s safety feature resulting in him releasing hotter water than the normal controlled temperature.”

But!
We got this answer after chasing up their head office and CEO because the park did not seem interested.

On arriving at New Beach the only thing that was a bit confussing was the entry sign to the touring park. Needs to be made clearer as myself and several other tourers tried going in the main entrance (bad move if you can't reverse) I was lucky didn't actualy make the turn. On site was great lovely welcome and very helpful not only on arriving but through out the entire week-end. The facilities and entertainment also very good. Could do with a bit more hanging space in the showers but clean hot and FREE. Needs a bit more waste water outlets. Thank you for great week-end look forward to visiting again from one very experieced caravaner.

We have recently visited as a tourer caravan August 08. Site in good location and friendly staff. On site toilets poor but swimming pool and club facilities are excellent. The sea is just across the road.Overall an excellent location for touring around kent.Plenty of local attractions and a must see light railway.Trip goes all the way to Dungeness light house for little expense.
