The Wirral is a peninsula of great natural beauty, with unspoilt open space and wonderful sea views. The site has several flat grassy pitching areas, separated by frees and shrubs, and some pitches overlook the Dee estuary which is easily accessible. The site is located in a country park of 2000 acres of unspoilt natural landscape. Wirral is an ideal place for the sportsman, cycling, young families and for those with less energetic interests. It's perfect for sailing and offers seven private sailing clubs where temporary and family membership is offered to visiting members of other dubs. There's power-boating, water ski-ing and other water-based sports, several indoor swimming pools, sports and recreation centres, and golf courses. There are many lovely walks in the Park, along the seashore, as well as the Wirral Way; an easy walk for several miles.

As new caravaners we chose this site as it was close to home but felt a world away. Set between Liverpool and Chester the site is ideal for seeing the sites of both cities but is perched on the cliffs above Thurstaston beach overlooking the Dee estuary.
A short walk from the site is the Wirral Country park visitor centre which often has wildlife activities/events some especially for children and there is a bird hide, cafe and beautiful views. Also within walking distance is West Kirby; a seaside town with plenty of shops/cafes, watersports for the energetic and Hibre Island nature reserve.
The site has 93 pitches both hard standing and grass all with electric hook up. Access to the site is by electric barrier and there is a small children’s play area. There is also a well stocked information room and the reception area sells essentials such as bread, eggs etc.
The facilities block is spotless with free hot showers which have privacy cubicles. There is a dishwashing/vegetable preparation area. Laundry facilities include a washing machine, tumble drier, spin drier and washing sinks.
We love this site and have been several times since our first visit.

Great park, well set out. Very clean & Tidy. Ideally situated for Liverpool. We caught a train and an all day ticket for 2 adults . 1 child cost us £7 which enabled us to travel, bus, train & ferry for the day. Good food at the pub on the main road leading to the park. Site sells fresh milk and there is a small shop about 2 mins drive away. Would definately return if in the area.
