A pleasant, peaceful, open site, slightly sloping, and in the most lovely South Somerset countryside. Chard is a busy market town with a history of country trades. You are in Hamstone country and you'll recognise the golden stone used for buildings wherever you go in this quiet and civilised area, still married to the pace of the past And don't forget - this is King Arthur country and you can track down the legend at Cadbury and Glastonbury. The coast and the delightful port of Lyme Regis are within easy driving distance. If that's not enough, add a championshiop golf course at Windwhistle and a nature reserve at Chard reservoir with over 150 species of bird including migrant Ospreys.

Beautiful site - lovely green grass pitches with lots of space and angles so not overlooked. Wardens very helpful. Toilets and showers hot, clean and well designed. Site is quiet but well placed for days out.
