Whinfell Caravan Park & Whinfell Camping Site are situated in the Vale of Lorton, which lies among the North Western fells, much favoured by well known author and fell walker, Wainwright.

Both Caravan Park and Camping Site are family-run (the farm) having been in the ownership of the McClellan family since 1950.
