Carmel Caravan Park is set in the peaceful and magnificent Welsh countryside, and is only 15 miles from Welshpool and 10 miles from Newtown. An ideal location in the centre of Wales, the very friendly owners of Carmel, Mr and Mrs Robinson and their family, operate this superbly maintained site. Carmel Caravan Park offers static holiday homes and also caters to holidaymakers with motorhomes, touring caravans and tents. Carmel Caravan Park with its natural beauty showcases well-kept lawns and manicured gardens.

Welshpool, so close to Carmel Caravan Park, has Europe’s biggest sheep market – although unless you have a means of getting them home, it is probably best not to get too involved! - And still feels like a traditional, ‘old school’ market town. The surrounding countryside offers the opportunity to discover the historical significance of the borderlands and many structures of varying condition stand imposingly along the Welsh Marches.

When you holiday at Carmel Caravan Park you will never run short of things to do in the area. Recognised as the best preserved Castle & Garden in Wales, Powys Castle is a short walking distance from Welshpool. Ride a working steam train or recapture the past perusing interesting collections at the local museum.

Situated on the banks of the River Severn, Newtown’s small town charm is supported by excellent shopping, first class theatres, museums, and art galleries, all in one of the most visually appealing areas of Wales. A popular summer festival takes place every summer in Newtown.

You can easily set your own pace with a multitude of activities available within easy reach of Carmel Caravan Park. Spend a day afloat on the canal or take a thrilling white water ride. Fly kites or view the magnificent Brecon Beacons from the cockpit of a glider.

A holiday at Carmel Caravan Park is your perfect starting point to explore a unique and striking region of central Wales.
