Riverside is a family owned and run park, and offers caravan holiday homes all year round including at Christmas and New Year. From March to October the site welcomes motorhomes, touring caravans and tents to a variety of pitches with electric hook-up, some shady some slightly sloping. the park provides a great deal of information for tourists looking to explore the local area.
On the edge of the marina, Riverside appeals to those who enjoy walking, sailing and fishing, and it is nicely situated on the edge of the village of Hamble-le-Rice, which is home to some superb restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, that can be found hidden in the inviting cobbled streets that make up Hamble.
Not far from Riverside you can take a walk in the woodlands of the stunning New Forest, or you can go horse riding to truly appreciate the sights, sounds and smells of the area. If you’re feeling extra energetic and want to take on the rough and ready terrain, consider bringing your bicycle – you’ll get around quicker and get fitter at the same time.
From Riverside you have a wonderful choice of day trips to really get to know this area. A trip to Winchester is highly recommended, whether you want to visit the famous cathedral or hit the shops. You could choose a visit to the Isle of Wight, or a trip to the many historic features of Portsmouth, Southampton, and Bournemouth, all of which also have great sandy beaches for walking and exploring.
Riverside is a ‘base camp’ as you look to explore the rest of the local area. The entire south coast of England is at your mercy, and if you bring your passport, a trip to northern France wouldn’t be out of the question, either.
