I enjoyed my stay here, the pitches take a bit of levelling but some are easier than others. There is no booking system but there are usually pitches to be had. We arrived at 6.30pm and we still got somewhere to pitch. There is a great view of the Forth and all the bridges. The food and entertainment is really good. Didn't use the swimming pool but it looks good

Stay - August 2013 - I booked this 3 night break for myself and 2 friends. Paid for a 5* Executive caravan for £348 based on their website showing the luxury caravan with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, well equipped to sleep 6. On arrival we were not even given a smile or a welcome despite a 5 hour drive. We were passed a key and told were to go, no welcome pack or explanation of what was on site etc. The caravan smelt damp, it was dirty, did not have 2 double rooms or 2 bathrooms and was in my opinion very poorly finished. I went back to reception and asked if there was a mistake as clearly we were not in 5* Executive. I found the young man on reception to be very rude, he told us we were in the correct caravan and they were fully booked so couldn't do anything. I asked to see a manager but apparently no one was available, An older man then came out of the back room and said he was the owner, he was even more rude and told us the caravan shown in the website was an example but it didn't mean that was what we would get??? He agreed to move us but didn't offer to show us the alternative caravan, for obvious reasons. We had been given an even dirtier caravan that smelt like wet dogs, probably due to the leaking shower. The van didn't have a toaster, electric kettle, remote control for the fire (which couldn't be used) it only had 2 drinking glasses (of different sizes) ...... awful, regardless of star value. In short the owner told us we could have a refund and go elsewhere. We consider this a dreadful place and 1 star is more than it is worth as far as we are concerned, it should be a minus star rating. Our advice is Don't go near the place!!!!

We found it very stressful having a static caravan on this park, and rather expensive, too. The views are wonderful, but not worth the hassle. Problems were very slowly (if at all) resolved, and we were glad to move our caravan to a much friendlier park in the end.
