Site doesn't look very impresive from the road but once you go inside it's brilliant. Very helpful staff, clean heated washrooms, easy pitches and a carp lake to wander around. Spent the early evening watching anglers catching fish. Black Boy pub turn right leaving the site for a very good and cheap meal. We will definately go back next year. Trevor & Jill

A family owned commercial touring site with a seperate rally field and some timber holiday lodges located on the hillside opposite.
50 fully serviced hardstanding pitches mainly of good size and slightly sloping on a hill side.
Convenient location on the edge of a village in the countryside, bordered by trees and a fishing lake, gives this site a very pleasant outlook from whatever pitch you choose.
Good all weather access roads to and on site.
Helpful and friendly site reception staff.
Card operated security barrier at the touring field entrance.
Modern amenities block, ample, clean and well kept. Wooded picnic area, cafe, caravan sales, servicing and accessories, fishing tackle and bait from shop on site. Extra charge for fishing, day tickets from balliff.
Village pub restaurant and local shop ¼ mile. Pub restaurant, fuel, fast food ¾ mile. Clacton sea front and shopping 8 miles. Walton on Naze 8 miles. Colchester 6 miles (all mileages approx.).
This is an excellent site for fishing or a relaxing short break, longer holiday stays and as a convenient base for visiting the sea front and many local attractions.
Highly recommended.

We have just returned from Homestead lake and had to write a review as we are sooo excited. We popped in to find out more about lodges as they looked so good. After a cup of tea withTerri and Tara we had a look around... and two hours later bought a lodge. We still cant believe it as we are not usually that impulsive, but the park and the homes are just stunning. I'm looking forward to hours fishing while jenny enjoys her books..

You drive off the main road, through a normal tourer dealership entrance, turn right and WOW, the most gorgeous hilly country views, a stunning lake and then.... Wooden lodges, All spaced out in great settings with lovely views over the lakes ands woods... We couldnt believe it. We were so tempted to buy and spoke to several of the new owners who were so happy. This is a new park and we will certainly come back, who knows, when our touring days are over we can only dream about being this happy.
